Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Maui, Hawaii.  Eventually I moved out of the islands to pursue an education in animation in Portland, Oregon.


What school did you go to?
I studied animation at the Art Institute of Portland where I got my BS in Media Arts & Animation.  I also attended Maui Community College where I studied acting, dance, and computer science.


How did you get into animation?
I have always been fascinated with animation, but I started out learning web design and image manipulation in Maui.  I moved to Portland to continue my Graphic Design degree.  The friends I made in Portland introduced me to the Media Arts and Digital Media programs.  Based on my interest in cartoons and film I decided to change my major to Media Arts & Animation.


Did you study performing arts too?
Yeah, I did, for getting easy credits and getting some exercise.  After a while I began to like the art of acting and dance.  Instead staying in for a three month term, I studied performing arts for about two years.


Where do you see yourself in the future?
Expressing myself and entertaining people as an animator.
